OpenStudy (aripotta):

.-.

OpenStudy (vortish):

hey ari i will help you with this problem this is my area of study love history and sci not good with math

OpenStudy (aripotta):

can you help? i know it's not really history :/

OpenStudy (vortish):

ok if you think on just the numbers in your pyramid ari what do you think with happen with in those countries with in the next five ten and fifty years think of it like a algebra problem look at the data and plug it in to a equation based on the numbers for each country and that will give you a ruff idea on what each country will come out like does that make sense

OpenStudy (aripotta):

i don't know :<

OpenStudy (vortish):

you have to look at each country and think is the population getting bigger because they are living longer or is it a higher birth rate you have to take those in to consideration because a country has a high birth rate does not mean that that country will not have a high mortality rate as well so even with both being said a country with a high birth rate and high mortality rate there growth we stay about the same in all three time areas unless they can get the death rate below the rate of birth in said country does that make sense

OpenStudy (aripotta):

but isn't kenya going to look the same though? :/

OpenStudy (aripotta):

since they're under-developed, they can't get their death rate down unless we send people to help

OpenStudy (aripotta):

but even that won't bring it down significantly

OpenStudy (aripotta):

i'm hoping that in 50 years, they'll be more of a moderate growth like mexico

OpenStudy (vortish):

ok your on the right track ari you have to think in growth of the country when taking in what is going to happen in the birth to death rate and if kenya will have some growth but who is to say what will happen in fifty years but if they can get the high mortality rate down then yes they will turn in to a small mexico

OpenStudy (vortish):

the thing with countries like kenya is that they are so rualized and not much in the way in the countries are run health care is not available to all and that means that the infant death rate is those countries is high so you have to take in to account that if those countries can get rual health care then their motality rate will go down

OpenStudy (aripotta):

so in 5 years, it'll probably look the same. that little bulge might flatten out, yes?

OpenStudy (aripotta):

or would it probably flatten out after 10 years?

OpenStudy (aripotta):

@nincompoop

OpenStudy (aripotta):

@UnkleRhaukus .-.

OpenStudy (vortish):

probably in ten five years in to short of a time to fix anything it might change slightly but not enough to change the graph

OpenStudy (aripotta):

so...in 5 years, it'll look that same. in 10 years, the bulge might flatten. in 50 years, it might look like a wide-bottomed triangle, indicating moderate growth...right?

OpenStudy (vortish):

it takes any were between two to five years just to get a program off the ground and running usually longer in developing countries like kenya

OpenStudy (aripotta):

In counties like Kenya, programs offering health services, contraception, and education usually take a couple years just to take off the ground. So in 5 years, Kenya’s birth and death rate and life expectancy will probably be around the same, resulting in a similar shape as it is now. In 10 years, the birth and death rate will go down and life expectancy might lengthen but not significantly. So the only thing noticeably different might be that the little bulge has flattened. In 50 years, it’s probable that Kenya might start to look like a small Mexico with a wide-bottomed triangle population pyramid indicating a lower death rate, higher life expectancy, moderate population growth, and a developing economy.

OpenStudy (vortish):

that sounds good to me But If you deleted the small mexico and said that in fifty years kenya will have a similar expectancy of were Mexico is currently at.

OpenStudy (aripotta):

oh, so no small mexico? i kinda liked that when you said though lol i'll get rid of it .-.

OpenStudy (aripotta):

said it*

OpenStudy (vortish):

yea but for a paper is sounds kind of juvenile using the other will sound better for a paper

OpenStudy (aripotta):

:l ok

OpenStudy (vortish):

you are in high school ari

OpenStudy (aripotta):

unfortunately. i'm in 11th grade.

OpenStudy (aripotta):

nin be creepin.

OpenStudy (vortish):

k you need to get ready for college papers and they want clear and concise Idea flow and the second way i said it sounds like a college paper

OpenStudy (aripotta):

"..., it’s probable that Kenya might start to have an outlook similar to Mexico’s with a wide-bottomed triangle..." is that ok?

OpenStudy (vortish):

yes that is fine

OpenStudy (aripotta):

alright. now let's do france :/

OpenStudy (vortish):

k let me look at the graph just a sec

OpenStudy (aripotta):

i have an inkling that france's might start to look like a pentagon (declining population)

OpenStudy (vortish):

I do not think so i think that france sense it is a western type of country will actually grow in population due to the fact of having a good health care system and the immigrants that come in to the country looking for work. they have a good older population but their birth rate is on par with having new generations replacing the older generations by a slight level

OpenStudy (aripotta):

yea, but you can't grow forever

OpenStudy (aripotta):

right now, it's at slow growth

OpenStudy (vortish):

yea but growth is growth and with the ever expanding world population france will be taking in immigrants looking for work and so just because the countries birth rate is slow it is still growing and with the immigrants coming into france it could shoot up quickly in the next five ten and fifty years

OpenStudy (aripotta):

so it'll look the same throughout?

OpenStudy (vortish):

that is true you can not grow forever but that will not happen with in our life time or mabey it will but we have to start finding ways to get the ever growing population off the planet to other types of habitat

OpenStudy (aripotta):

or maybe the older population might be bigger because of improvements in healthcare and stoof

OpenStudy (vortish):

i think france will stay about the same as the model at least for the next ten years and I think that will grow with in the next fifty

OpenStudy (aripotta):

well the pyramids are in percent of population, so everything would stay about the same percent?

OpenStudy (vortish):

People with in the technological countries are living longer than before and with in the next fifty years who is to say that the age will not reach over a hundred for most of the older pop due to health care advances

OpenStudy (vortish):

for the next ten but will change in the next fifty

OpenStudy (aripotta):

ok, how's this? France is an economically developed country, which is currently in the slow growth stage. For the next 5 and 10 years, France’s population pyramid will probably look the same. Within 50 years, we can assume there will be improvements in medicine and technology, so the pyramid will continue to be in the shape of a rectangle, but with a larger population of older citizens, indicating the lengthened life expectancy improvements in medicine support.

OpenStudy (vortish):

sounds good ari that is a very good assumption on that graph

OpenStudy (aripotta):

yay :) now to poland!

OpenStudy (vortish):

k

OpenStudy (aripotta):

right now it's declining

OpenStudy (aripotta):

will it continue to decline?

OpenStudy (aripotta):

how do you know all this stuff? are you just a fast googler?

OpenStudy (vortish):

im almost forty and i like history and sci and this is up my ally and i have not done any googling on this project

OpenStudy (aripotta):

oh

OpenStudy (vortish):

i spend my free time looking a historical issues from ww2

OpenStudy (aripotta):

that's interesting

OpenStudy (vortish):

so this project is just an off shoot of that and you have to think of the world population and what is going on the the western countries and how it is applicable to the world also i just took world gen sci and this is similar to a report i had to do

OpenStudy (aripotta):

look at this:

OpenStudy (aripotta):

so that's what the government predicts...must be right lol

OpenStudy (aripotta):

it looks like the bulge is going to flatten a bit

OpenStudy (vortish):

brb have 2 make lunch 4 kids

OpenStudy (aripotta):

mmk

OpenStudy (aripotta):

and this is for france. i think we were pretty spot-on :D

OpenStudy (aripotta):

OpenStudy (aripotta):

so if you look at that population pyramid for poland, it looks like it's going to change into the of a rectangle (slow growth). it also has a bulge

OpenStudy (vortish):

like I said it will in crease a little bit in the next fifty years just not drastic like france

OpenStudy (aripotta):

I don't know what to write for the paragraph :/

OpenStudy (vortish):

write that Poland like france will have some growth in the next fifty years just not as drastic as france do to the advances in health care and the modernizing of the coutnry's health care system

OpenStudy (aripotta):

Poland, like France, is an economically developed country but in the declining growth stage. For the next 5 and 10 years, we can predict that the population pyramid will look similar, but showing signs of changing due to advances in medicine and the modernization of its healthcare system. In 50 years, the pyramid will most likely be in the shape of a rectangle, indicating a slow growth.

OpenStudy (aripotta):

good?

OpenStudy (vortish):

yes

OpenStudy (aripotta):

...now we can start on D. lol. we're inching along. will you continue to help me?

OpenStudy (vortish):

of course

OpenStudy (aripotta):

thanks so much :D

OpenStudy (aripotta):

we can open up another question so i can give you more medals lol

OpenStudy (vortish):

kenya is going to go threw some issues if they can get a health care system in place if they can get a health care system they will see a increase in the birth rate and a mortality rate go down due to the health care system france will see growth across the board and a longevity of the population increase due to increasing health care advances same with poland just not as much as france

OpenStudy (vortish):

its fine Ari i just like helping people and its better if I can help them like they help me with math

OpenStudy (aripotta):

ok, so this is for part of D. i'm going to do 2 paragraphs; 1 for the predictions and the other for the problems. is this good for paragraph 1? France’s future includes a never-ending growth in its population. Kenya’s future looks bumpy. Though it’s possible for them to begin on the road to economic development, it will probably take several decades and radical changes to its cultural and government. Poland’s future looks bright. Instead of declining, Poland will probably evolve into a slowly growing population. and i appreciate you, vortish.

OpenStudy (aripotta):

:)

OpenStudy (aripotta):

oops. culture*

OpenStudy (vortish):

looks good ari I would go with that and you could leave a comment about me if ya wanted to

OpenStudy (vortish):

any thing else with this project

OpenStudy (aripotta):

yep. i still have to do the other paragraph for the problems involved with the predictions. then i have to do E :/ i think i can do F by myself, though

OpenStudy (vortish):

when you do e just use the data from c and d to make the the implications for each of the countries

OpenStudy (aripotta):

sorry this is a lot of work. that's why i offered to make another question thread for you to get another medal :)

OpenStudy (aripotta):

will france and poland face any problems? i don't think so :/

OpenStudy (vortish):

the only thing that they could run into is a lack of health care for the increasing population base in each country

OpenStudy (aripotta):

France and Poland could possibly run into trouble trying support such a large and ever-growing population with healthcare, food, natural resources, etc. Kenya’s problems include a lack of resources and medical care to decrease the death rate and lengthen life expectancy.

OpenStudy (vortish):

yep that is good

OpenStudy (aripotta):

France’s pyramid structure implies that the country is economically developed and most, if not all, of the population lives in favorable living conditions with easy access to good healthcare, the ability to read and write, and a high life expectancy. Kenya’s pyramid structure implies that the country is young and economically under-developed with the percent of the dependent population being significantly larger than the percent of the workers supporting them. This also leads to the conclusion that the birth and death rate is high and the life expectancy is short. Poland’s pyramid structure also implies that the country economically developed and very similar to France's population.

OpenStudy (vortish):

works for me good job

OpenStudy (aripotta):

yay :D

OpenStudy (aripotta):

vortish deserves all the medals in the world

OpenStudy (aripotta):

so...i know i said i could do E by myself, but...

OpenStudy (aripotta):

F*

OpenStudy (vortish):

nice of you to say Ari but you are doing the work im just pointing you in the right direction

OpenStudy (aripotta):

i think florida would have a rectangular pyramid with a really high percentage of dependents. do you think so too?

OpenStudy (vortish):

i would agree with that statement Ari
