where is acceleration due to gravity the most?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think at the center of gravity

OpenStudy (mayankdevnani):

the acceleration due to gravity there will be REALLY high since mass is nearly infininte and the size is so small. so theoritically if u survive to even come cloe to a black hole u will have an acceleration gradient actin on u which will rip u apart. but on the earth the gravity is more on the poles due 2 factors:- 1) the effect due to the angular rotation of earth is miniumum or zero at poles 2) the earth is flatish towards the poles so g is more at poles. The acceleration due to gravity is maximum at the poles.

OpenStudy (mayankdevnani):

ok @ShikhaDessai

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is there any assumptions that we should take note of before analysing this question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i didnt quite understand the complicated words

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@mayankdevnani

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for example, taking the case of a full, solid planet, and hollow planets, and black holes etc each have different cases.

thanks

OpenStudy (mayankdevnani):

welcome

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

in the earth system , acceleration due to gravity is strongest in magnitude at sea level ,
