Derivative of inverse trig function? Dx arcsin 3x
Is that product rule? Or is the little x on the D just to show that it's with respect to x?
I just answered a very similar question here, http://openstudy.com/study#/updates/50bfed10e4b0689d52fdf0a4 Getting arcsine derivative will be a similar process, but will a little bit of chain rule mixed in. If you already have the derivative memorized, and don't need to show the steps, then the problem is quite a bit easier. Just depends what you need.
Ok so according to the calc book dx arcsin u = 1/sqrt(1-u^2) so in this case what would i do with the 3 in the problem i posted? would it replace the 3 on the top? I feel like this is easy, i just don't quite get how to apply this theorem.
