Calc 3! need help!
\[\int\limits_{0}^{2\pi}\int\limits_{0}^{\sqrt{7 \over 2}} [5 - (7 - 2x^2 - 2y^2)] rdrd \theta \]
can't get the right answer. what is it supposed to be:)?
sorry, I forgot something \[\int\limits_{0}^{spi}\int\limits_{0}^{\sqrt{ 7\over2}} {[5 - (7 - 2r)]} rdrd \theta\]
Well, if you can't get the right answer, you obviously must know the right answer, and would not be asking for the right answer. Sorry, but I'm not going to evaluate the integral for you. That's the easy part.
There must be a 2pi in the outer integral top bound.
I do not know what the answer is.
Then how can you say "can't get the right answer." ?
because the answer choices are 2pi, 3pi/2, pi/2, pi, and 5pi/2. and i'm not getting one of these.
I'm suddenly very confused as to what the question asks. Must you get the volum of the area enclosed by the parabaloid and plane? Where does a cylinder come in?
yeah i don't understand the question. the hint thats supposed to help me just made me confused even more
Nah I unfortunately don't know what they want, sorry.
