Okay well first this is the deffinition of a participle - The form of a verb, ending in -ing in English, which is used in forming continuous tenses, e.g., in I'm thinking, alone in... and this is the deffinition of a verb - A word used to describe an action, state, or occurrence, and forming the main part of the predicate of a sentence, such as hear,... 1. is a participle because it's a verb ending in "ing" 2. is a verb because it doesn't end in "ing" 3. is a participle because again it ends in "ing"

4-6 deffinition of a gerund - A form that is derived from a verb but that functions as a noun, in English ending in -ing, e.g., asking in do you mind... 4. i believe this is a gerund. **I'll come back and try to do the rest later if some one doesn't already have them done :) but i have to go do stuff for my school.**
