What is a pinhole camera? How do we know that these devices existed before the nineteenth century? Who created the first photograph? How was this done? What is a calotype? What happens in this process? What was the Kodak Brownie? What did Richard Maddox invent? Why was this important? Where did the technology for digital images come from? What are two different stock image licenses? How are they different? What did George Eastman develop? Why was this important?

While I can't just give you the answers to all your homework questions, I can explain a pinhole camera. A pinhole camera is a box or other closed object with a small pin-sized hole in the front. In a dark room, a piece of light sensitive (photo paper) is placed inside the camera. A picture is then taken with the camera (usually outside for the best light) by opening the flap that covers the hole. When you do this, light floods the box/canister/whatever and onto the photo paper. The flap is closed and the picture can then be developed using the regular photography development process.
