In set-builder notation, how do you write the solutions of the inequality. 3x + 10 ≥ 4 My answer is {x | x ≤ –2}. Is this correct?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

your inequality some how got switched

OpenStudy (anonymous):

{x | x ≥ –2} Is the correct answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

only switch the inequality if you multiply or divide by a negative number the fact that the answer has a negative number does not mean to switch

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (natalieee):

x is greater than equal to -2.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, but for –2 – x ≥ – 1. Would the answer be {x | x ≤ –1} then?
