The legs of a trapezoid are parallel. True False

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Depends on what the legs are. If they are the lines on top and bottom, then true. If they're the ones on the sides, then false.

|dw:1355434788262:dw|False... When the legs of a trapezoid become paralell; it is no longer a trapezoid. It is infact either a rectangle, a rhombus or a paralellogram.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The top and bottom are, however, paralell; but the legs aren't

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

A trapezoid is a quadrilateral with exaclty two sides parallel. The parallel sides are called bases, and the non-parallel sides are called legs. Therefore the legs of a trapezoid can never be parallel.

Agreed, it's false.
