Jodi drew a line through points (1,1) and (5,7). What is the slope of the line she drew?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Use the slope form. Do you remember how to find "m"? Remember rise over run, or Delta Y over Delta X.

You are looking for a change from points A,B to points B,C or better yet... X1,Y1 and X2,Y2. Does this help?

@nubeer

\[slope = \frac{ y2-y1 }{ x2-x1 }\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

m= Slope. Note y2-y1 is Delta Y

I know the formula just not how to set it up.

(1,1) and (5,7) (x1,y1) and (x2,y2)
