OpenStudy (icalibear):

I can't solve another simple equation for some reason :S Find FG?

OpenStudy (icalibear):

|dw:1355729346965:dw|

OpenStudy (sirm3d):

EDF congruent to FDG?

OpenStudy (icalibear):

Yep

OpenStudy (sirm3d):

so EF congruent to FG. agreed?

OpenStudy (icalibear):

Yep. The equation is simply n + 5 = 2n - 6 but im not solving it correctly. I think im missing something but i dont know what.

OpenStudy (sirm3d):

subtract n from both sides, add 6 to both sides. that should do it.

OpenStudy (icalibear):

can you write that out for me please im just not getting it right now probably cuz its midnight and my mind is shutting down O.o i just need the steps started i can solve the equation

OpenStudy (sirm3d):

n + 5 = 2n - 6 subtract n: 5 = n - 6 add 6: 11 = n

OpenStudy (icalibear):

the 2n cancels out?

OpenStudy (sirm3d):

nope. we just deducted one n. the right side has 2 n's

OpenStudy (icalibear):

oh ok. so the answer is n = 5 then

OpenStudy (sirm3d):

no. the equation you are looking at is 5 = n - 6 add 6 to both sides to get 11 = n

OpenStudy (icalibear):

i meant 11. no idea where i got 5. i wrote 11 on my paper lol i dont know where i came up with that. thanks :p

OpenStudy (sirm3d):

yw.

OpenStudy (icalibear):

can you help me with my other question too its like a trick or something D:
