Explain how density differs from volume.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Density = Mass / Volume if Volume increses Density Decreases and Vice- versa

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Density=mass/volume

OpenStudy (kainui):

Volume is the amount of space contained within something and is the same for everything that's the same shape. For instance, a soda bottle has the same volume whether it's full or empty. Density is the amount of mass per volume. So if we look at the soda bottles, the one with soda in it is more dense than the one with air in it because soda has more mass than air for the same amount of volume. Makes sense?

Awesome explanation, Kainui :)
