I'm struggling... :(
That's not a question. ;)
hahahaha funny lol its that thing i just posted on here
That attachment just defines a, b, and c.
hmm Evaluate a – b + c
sorry i not very good at this stuff
Ok, I see what you need to do. Before you can add or subtract you need to get each of the denominators to be the same. In this case, you should probably multiply each fraction to get the denominator to be 20.
You follow?
Say "yes" and I'll continue with my explanation.
yes
Alright, A is 4 and 1/5. To get the denominator to 20 we multiply both the "1" and the "5" by 4. So A is now 4 and 4/20. B is 2 and 7/20 so it's good as it is. C is 3 and 1/4. To get the denominator to 20 we multiply the "1" and the "4" by 5 so C is now 3 and 4/20. Recap: A= 4 and 4/20. B=2 and 7/20. C=3 and 4/20 a-b+c = 4 and 4/20
oh well none of my answers say that.. do you make it smaller?
Yes! In lowest terms it's 4 and 1/5
Does that help you out? (if yes, then please medal me).
