Lab question :)
Shenita is doing sea turtle research along the east coast of Florida and finds 10 female green sea turtles washed up on shore and very sick. There has been a recent red tide event along the east coast. She suspects the red tide has gotten into the plants the green sea turtles eat. She decides to have the sea turtles relocated to the Mote Marine Lab in Sarasota. Previous studies indicate that removal from red tide contaminated water for at least 50 days and the use of the drug Cholestyramine could help clear the toxin from the sea turtles bloodstream. After 2 months, Shenita and the Mote Marine Lab staff waved farewell to the healthy sea turtles as they released them back into the clear ocean water. If we wanted to know for sure that the algae was causing the sea turtle deaths, what would need to be done with Shenita's experiment? a. nothing b. continue observing the area c. redo the experiment using the same variables d. do a totally different lab experiment
C
really? why, i thought nothing...
Because the first time he saw the dead fish floating there could have been other algae and mold and things like that so if you redo the experiment with the same variables you could find the leading cause for the dead fishies
this is a different question
oh ok but its the general Idea
ok, but i dont think she did an experiment, did she?
Sort of; she did research but since she found out why they were sick I would same nothing but I may be wrong. I know its either A or C
Well when I think about it It seems to be B because she never started an experiment she only observed the turtles and researched on them
right, so even thought its finished, like the turtles are gone to sarasota, they want to know what she could do more?
So yea B makes the most sense C and D she can't do because she hasn't done an experiment yet.
exactly and a?
A doesn't make sense because their asking what more can she do and doing nothing doesn't help anything
ok, thank you so much. That makes sense, now.. B it is.
