Solve algebraically: x-3y-3z=0 2x+5y-5z=1 -x+5y-6z=-9

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hey, this ques? :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok, this can be done by substitution method, Find value of any variable, for ex: x from given 1st equation in terms of y and z (call this 'ur' 1st eqn) then put in given 2nd equation and find value of y in terms of z.(call it 'ur' 2nd eqn) Then put value of y in 'ur 1st' equation, you will get value of x also in terms of z then put the values of both y and x in given 3rd eqn, solve it! you will get value of z Put in the respective 'ur' 2 equations and u will get value of x and y also :D

See now here the solution becomes quite lengthy, right? So you can use the alternate method! Wanna learn? :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

got my msg?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't need this question answered anymore. My teacher excluded it from the lesson. thanks though :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the alternate method basically is just like combination.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wanna learn or not? :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

btw ans is, x=3, y=0, z=1
