(6+4)5

geerky42 (geerky42):

(6+4)5 (10)5 50

OpenStudy (rosedewittbukater):

Did you mean (6+4)^5 with the exponent of 5 or times 5?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(6+4)5 30+20=50

OpenStudy (rosedewittbukater):

If it's times 5 then do whats inside the parentheses, then multiply. (6+4)5 =(10)5 =50 If you meant to the fifth power, then (6+4)^5 =(10)^5 =10,000

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no im trying to see if 5(6+4) and (6+4)5 means the samething???

OpenStudy (rosedewittbukater):

Oh yes it does. Then the answer is 50

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes it does

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay thanks

geerky42 (geerky42):

You do something in parenthesis first then do whatever left. So it doesn't matter where 5 is (except in the parenthesis), it's all the same.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay..

geerky42 (geerky42):

Well, is this clear?
