Read the following passage from Albert Stroud’s poem “Julius Caesar.”

The wary crew soon laid their plan and waited long to get their man. “He is ambitious,” Brutus said; though thrice had Caesar shook his head, and thrice the crown he did refuse. They murmured: “Don’t it beat the deuce? Did’st ever hear of such a thing? He does not want the job of King. Perhaps he seeks a higher place and thinks ere long to be the Ace.”

hmmm. so the two obvious choices are C and D(the one you picked)
the passige dosent necesarily talk about the wary men trying to save Cecsar. they are merely stating that Caecar has turned down the job of king three times. they begin to think that he dosen't want it.

"The wary crew soon laid their plan and waited long to get their man" this part from the text seems sneaky. trying to get their man. so if you read carefuly you'd say its C

youre welcome. thats how the story goes after all. Caecar is killed by his own men. he was stabbed 27 times (i think) one stab per man. pretty cruel uh?
