It was at ten o'clock to-day that the first of all Time Machines began its career. I gave it a last tap, tried all the screws again, put one more drop of oil on the quartz rod, and sat myself in the saddle. . . . I took the starting lever in one hand and the stopping one in the other, pressed the first, and almost immediately the second. I seemed to reel; I felt a nightmare sensation of falling; and, looking round, I saw the laboratory exactly as before. Had anything happened? For a moment I suspected that my intellect had tricked me. Then I noted the clock. A moment before, as it seemed, it h
had stood at a minute or so past ten; now it was nearly half-past three
Why would a writer create a story with a time machine in it? Answer to show that time machines are not real to show that some inventors are foolish to compare and contrast two time periods to compare and contrast life on two planets
@nagdy1 @Kaggler help?
And all of us let's agree for the option lol
lol i just "became a fan" of nagdy so no worries.. i think he even answered one of my questions a bit ago..? lol
well its not D because it has nothing to do with other planets..
Agree
Possibly C ?
Nagdy lefe us :/
idk, im still trying to think about it.. like it definitely not D, it didn't say anything about time machines not existing, so not A, I don't see how the inventor was foolish because his machine worked, So not B, but it said " I saw the laboratory exactly as before" so i guess he DID compare the time periods, and the only difference was the clock showing a different time. so im going with C
the contrast part was the difference in the time..
