You have to write the square root and power as a fractional exponent, then use the property that x^a/x^b = x^(a-b)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

HINT: cuberoot(x^3)= x^(3/3) = x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what is ^5rt x^2 equal too?

Yout take the root as the denominator and the power as the numerator. so its ^Art X^B = X^B/A

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so ^5rt X^2 is equal too X^(2/5)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is x^(3/5) the correct answer? That's what I got.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1/1 - 2/5 = 3/5 (check), yes! its help full to put these into exponents, expecially in calculus :)
