how can I find the perimeter of a triangle?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

s1+s2+s3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

add up all the sides

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What kind of triangle? But in general, the formula that @MasonLovesNinjaTurtle gave is a good formula to use. There are special triangles that are exceptions.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it's a right triangle. when you say 's' you mean side?

OpenStudy (hba):

Perimeter is actually the Sum of all sides of a triangle.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I was given the points of a triangle on a coordinate plane and now I need to find how many units of fencing I would need to complete a fence around the triangle.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the points are F(-6,-5) G(-6,-9) and H(-9,-5)

draw out a graph and draw out the triangle it's easier to figure out things when its right in front of you then figure out how long each of the sides are add them together and then you have ur answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how do I find the length of each side.. I cant just count the boxes because of the hypotenuse

Use the distance formula

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you would have to use a distance formula i dont know it right off hand but you can find them on multiple tutoring sites
