I always get stuck on this. I have 4x - 2y = 6 and I have to get into slope intercept form. I got this far 4x - 4x - 2y = 6 - 4x = 2y = 6 - 4x, now what?

4x - 2y = 6
-2y = -4x + 6 Subtract 4x from both sides
y = 2x - 3 Divide both sides by -2 to get y by itself

That's it. y = 2x - 3

4x - 2y = 6
