Solve. Problem attached.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\frac{ 3}{ 5 } = \frac{ x+2 }{ 15 }\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Please explain

OpenStudy (anonymous):

probably easiest start is to "cross multiply" don't forget parentheses \[15\times 3=5(x+2)\] and work from there

OpenStudy (anonymous):

alternatively you could note that \(\frac{3}{5}=\frac{9}{15}\) and solve \[9=x+2\] in fact that might be easier
