a mass is moved with a constant acceleration.
Mass times acceleration gives force.
Mass in kg and acceleration in m/s^2 multiplied gives newtons.

If acceleration is zero (0), then there is NO force present, the same as if there is NO mass.

If the mass is at rest, you need to provide some force and by doing so the mass acquires  acceleration.
