Mr. Means was shopping at Marc’s grocery store, and needed to by some soda. He wanted the best deal because he is not picky. Two signs caught his eye: Coke products were on sale: Three 12-packs for $ 8.25 7-up products were also on sale: Four 12-packs for $ 11.40

Coke is 2.75 each and 7-up is 2.85 each

how exactly did u get this

He's looking for the best deal, so he is going to compare the price of the Coke and the 7-up for an equal size. From the wording of the problem, that size is a 12-pack. So, if there are three 12-packs of Coke for 8.25, then one 12-pack is 8.25 / 3 or 2.75 each. You do similar for the 7-up but divide by 4. And that's all there is to it!
