solve for y
OpenStudy (gabylovesyou):
y − 2x = −1
i get:
y = 2x -1

right :) then graph it
OpenStudy (gabylovesyou):
i dont see it in those graphs..... ^^
OpenStudy (gabylovesyou):
wait..

the y-int. then the slope is up 2 over 1 or down 2 over 1
OpenStudy (gabylovesyou):
A?

OpenStudy (anonymous):
how?
OpenStudy (gabylovesyou):

OpenStudy (ash2326):
How did you solve this?
OpenStudy (gabylovesyou):
solved for y and then i graphed both of them ..
OpenStudy (ash2326):
How did you graph?
Did you use a paper?

Yes, you are right. But I feel that you could have used another method for solving for x and y
You can find y in terms of x from both the equations and compare them to find the value of x and then use x value to find y. The value you'll get for x and y, will be the point where the lines intersect.
