Can someone help me with this problem? I REALLY struggle with graphing...solve the system of linear equations by graphing 2x-y=0 5x+y=7

OpenStudy (hba):

What method do you use ? What about a graphing cal ? You can actually suppose values of x and get values of guy graph the equation of the line. Then use the other equation and graph a equation of that line and the place where they meet is your answer.

i was hoping someone could take me through step by step so I could better under it?

understand*

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so for 2x-y=0, I got (0,0) (1,2) and for 5x+y=7 I got (0,7) (-7/5, 0)… am i totally off?

Thanks so much! I wish there was a graph on here so I could actually show you want my lines look like. If x = 0, then: so the the line passes through origin (0, 0). and 1,2 would be the line that it passes through? Dont mean to make it confusing here

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So my ordered pairs would be (0,0) & (-7/5,0) ??
