Write the function as a set ordered pair… f(a)= q, f(b) =p, f( c )=t, f(d)= q What is f? What is the domain? What is the range?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can someone show me step by step how to do this?

OpenStudy (slaaibak):

For the ordered pair, it's usually in the form (x,y) - (domain value, range value) so the first answer is: (a, q) (b, p) (c, t) (d, q) f is the function. the domain is where the function is defined. so the domain is the set {a,b,c,d} and the range is the values the function can take. So it's the set {q, p, t}

ok, ok I see how you did this.

It really helps when i see everything written down, I'm very visual. Thank you so much!

OpenStudy (slaaibak):

Yeah, I agree. Happy to help :)
