are u talking about a parabola?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
no the lines are linear
OpenStudy (anonymous):
so what exactly is the vertex you're referring to?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Sorry I know that I sound stupid right now. lol The vertex is a graph I had to draw. The graph was y = -2 Ix - 1I + 4
OpenStudy (anonymous):
no you don't sound that way... math is so broad that vertex could mean a lot of things...
i'm just trying to clarify the question... and good thing i did because i thought the question was referring to a parabola... :)

thankyou :P
OpenStudy (anonymous):
so the graph is an absolute value function...
y = -2|x-1| + 4
OpenStudy (anonymous):
because of the -2, the vertex will be HIGHEST point in the graph....
OpenStudy (anonymous):
HINT: the highest value for y is 4...
OpenStudy (anonymous):
So the range would be all real numbers between -2 and 4?

no... the range is:
all real numbers less than or equal to 4
