5(x + 6) 3x - 4

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

What about it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

have u hear about the distributive property

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes there is

OpenStudy (anonymous):

5(x+6)3x-4 (5x+30)*3x-4 (distributed the 5) 15x^2+90x-4 (multiplied everything in the parentheses by 3x) from here u can factor the equation if u are able to solve for X or u can use the quadratic equation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

never mind u can't factor nor use the quadratic formula..it doesn't equal to 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Shes missing a = sign so it is hard to actually get wht the question is asking. The question should look like this 5(x + 6)= 3x - 4. Then you work your way from there.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yah I thought the question was that at first-->5(x + 6) 3x - 4=0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yup
