Help me check my answer? Solve 3x - 4 ≤ 2 or 2x + 11 ≥ -1. A- {x | x ≤ 2} B- {x | -6 ≤ x ≤ 2} C- {all reals} I know that 3x - 4 ≤ 2 is x ≤ 2 and that 2x + 11 ≥ -1 is x ≥ -6 so would it be A?
what is the | supposed to be between the 2 x's?
Are there any more specific instructions? Are you looking for the domain or range?
No, that is all the information they give me.
and blondie, yes it is.
i said what is it supposed to be? lol
I think it is an or symbol
oh whoops, ahah i read it wrong. um, i dont really know. :(
all i know is that im supposed to pay attention to these parts of the inequality. x ≤ 2 -6 ≤ x ≤ 2
well knowing what i know about inequalites... i think it would be B, because each answer you got you can write it like that
i thought that at first too, but i don't know :/ could you explain it?
well why do you think it is A?
because 3x - 4 ≤ 2 equals x ≤ 2 and it said to solve either 3x - 4 ≤ 2 OR 2x + 11 ≥ -1 and both answers given(x ≤ 2 and -6 ≤ x ≤ 2) are correct.
I believe the correct answer is B.
gotta explain though lol thats what i think the answer is too but im having a hard time explaining it..
