simple algebra.

hey, simply dont understand this: \[\frac{ \sqrt{x} }{ x } = \frac{ 1 }{ \sqrt{x}}\]

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

A couple of ways you can get that result: Canceling common terms in a fraction: \[\sqrt{x}*\sqrt{x} = x\]\[\frac{\sqrt{x}}{x} = \frac{\sqrt{x}}{\sqrt{x}*\sqrt{x}} = \frac{1}{\sqrt{x}}\] Exponents: \[\sqrt{x} = x^{1/2}\]\[\frac{x^a}{x^b} = x^{a-b}\]\[x^{-n} = \frac{1}{x^n}\]\[\frac{\sqrt{x}}{x} = \frac{x^{1/2}}{x^1} = x^{(1/2)-1} = x^{-1/2} = \frac{1}{x^{1/2}} = \frac{1}{\sqrt{x}}\]

thanks so much mate!
