I'm totally confused that what is indeed the difference between differential and dirivative .Hope anyone could help me figure it out .Thanks.

Both of them are closely related but are different from each other.
well both are very much closely related.... he derivative refers to the rate at which a function changes with respect to another measure. The differential refers to the actual change in a function across a parameter. The differential of a function is equal to its derivative multiplied by the differential of the independent variable .

df(x) is for an infinitesimally small change ,but delta f(x) is simply the change
you can see delta f(x)>>df(x)
So why the result of the dirivative of f(x) is equal to that of df(x)/dx?
