My answer is B In which of these samples do the molecules have the greatest kinetic energy? (3 points) Answer solid ice (-25 °C) water vapor (102°C) ice water (0°C) liquid water (54°C)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it's B because the more heat you have the more kinetic energy you have

OpenStudy (jfraser):

the more "heat" you have is a misuse of the word. Heat isn't an object that a substance "has". Heat is a reflection of the MOVEMENT of thermal energy. The answer is still "B", because the TEMPERATURE of the vapor is highest. KE is directly related to temperature, not "HEAT"
