The formula below gives V, the velocity in feet per second of falling object t seconds after it has been dropped. V(t)=32t If a suitcase is dropped from an airplane, How fast will it be falling after 8 seconds?

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

substitute t = 8 into your formula.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so is it 40 feet per second ?

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

isn't the formula \[V(t) = 32 \times t\] so you need to find \[V(8) = 32 \times 8\]

thank you so much!
