Absorbance measures how much light is absorbed by the yeast in a solution. This value is proportional to the concentration of yeast in a solution. Knowing this if you increased the concentration of yeast in a solution what would you expect to happen to your absorbance value?

The absorbance value would become proportionally bigger.

i think u might have come across in yeast growth curve...this absorbance follows Beer Lambart's law..the absorbance is usualy measured at 600 nm for bacteria...but for yeast am not sure... if u increase the concentration of ur yeast there will be more number of cells (if u are following indirect method for growth curve)..turbidity will increase and so absorbance definitely will increase...but it will not be accurate...coz...there will be dead cells in ur sample(depends upon the stage in which ur sample is currently present)

hope that helps...if u say abt the stages of ur experiment..i ll try to detail on it...

I've got it.:) Thank you for you help-- both of you.
