hello maths people oh yes can somone explain in simple form about the riemann hypotheis and i know it is based on observation of the zeta function so can i so explain in more detil for me please

OpenStudy (ksaimouli):

rieman sum basically adding up all small areas under curve which is later known as integral

OpenStudy (ksaimouli):

this all r estimates

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Those are Reimann sums, not the Reimann Hypothesis. You ARE barking up the wrong tree, kittens. For a problem yet to be solved by mathematicians the world over, do you REALLY expect there to be an explanation "in simple form"? There are available various descriptions: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Riemann_hypothesis

OpenStudy (zehanz):

A good way to get acquainted with the RH: read a good (poular scientific) book about it, like: Karl Sabbagh - Dr. Riemann's Zeros John Derbyshire - Prime Obsession Both highly recommended. You don't need a masters degree to understand what it's all about.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes i know but i like to learn stuff like this me is not good wiht big english words so wikipida an't much help

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

So, you're still under the assumption that an unsolved problem can be discussed in an elementary fashion? Good luck with that.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

dudes please i am no prodgrety at maths or physics i am just a stupid 14 year duded self taought it is really hard to find what i am looking for on the net.

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Excellent. Now read the words that I write. That which you seek does not exist. Can I be more clear?

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

someone once said that to a man from great Brittan named wiles

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

Go figure it out @Kittens4Mittens the world is your oyster.

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

@tkhunny fermat's last theorem is a great example of (until recently) an unsolved problem that can be discussed by a jr high student

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Fair enough. It's solution cannot.
