solve: x^3 + 9x^2 + 16x - 6 = 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you tell more about the problem and what it is asking for??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

try factoring

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no factoring won't work here

OpenStudy (anonymous):

quardtraic formula

OpenStudy (anonymous):

because the problem equals zero

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol yes it will. but ok. uhm.... so quadratic formula .......... is for quadratics

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well you in order to be able to factor you must be able to pull from all vairables and with this problem you can't take an x from -16. Although if you did factor it would be a little to hard to do. But if factoring works so be it.

thanks guys

OpenStudy (anonymous):

one question are we to slove for x?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I suppose so, all it asks me to do is solve

OpenStudy (anonymous):

when looking at a problem like this one x^3 + 9x^2 + 16x - 6 = 0 you could try something like this, I would say factor out an X only problem is the 6x doesn't have an X so that won't work either..
