Which of the following ordered pairs is not a solution to the inequality y < -x + 6? (-3, 0) (-1, 0) (4, 3) (3, -2)

OpenStudy (aravindg):

substitute the points in the inequality

OpenStudy (aravindg):

the point for which the inequality does not hold will not be a solution to it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dont know how to do that

OpenStudy (aravindg):

ok i will do first point y < -x + 6 (-3,0) put x=-3 ,y=0 for first point 0<-(-3)+6 0<+3+6 0<9 so(-3,0) is a solution

OpenStudy (aravindg):

similiarly check for other points

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh. thank u ! could u help with another ?

OpenStudy (aravindg):

yep :) post it separately !
