:)
@Hero do you know how to do this? :)
ooh, I did too :/ next time I will :D
okay, thanks! :) I'm tired too, I've been working on it like all day..ha, byee :D
okay, will do :D thank youu (:
@Hero heey (:
soo can you help me? :) hehe
You have an equation using the equation t=k/p Your first step is figure out what k is, to do that, replace t and p with a pair of numbers that "go together" They give you one pair of numbers, the first line in your table. Can you find k?
yeah, but what would be the pairs for the others? like how do I figure it out? :/
what is k ?
ooh, I don't know :/
the first line says depth pressure time 0ft 1atm 60min they give you a p (1 atm) and time (60 min) use this info in t=k/p to find k
so 60=k/1 ..i would times both sides by 1?
you could, but anything divided by 1 is itself, so just rewrite k/1 as k you get k= 60
ooh okay
so make a note, your equation is t= 60/p
now to use this equation, you need to find the pressure at each depth in the table. Activity 1 gives an equation for how to find the pressure at a depth. Can you use it to fill in the pressure column ?
the d=33+1 equation? :S
i mean d/
yes, but get the details right. What is the equation for finding P ?
p=d/33+1? i don't know :(
yes, that is it.
They say The pressure P (atm) varies with depthd( ft) according to the equation P= d/33 + 1 You have to be able to read complicated sentences. It's not math, but reading. but to continue, for each depth in your table, you use this equation to find the pressure at that depth. for example, for d=0 ft (depth is zero feet) , replace d with 0 in the equation P= 0/33 + 1 = 1 P is 1 at depth= 0 feet can you fill in the rest of your depths with the pressure at that depth ?
yes! what about the time?
one step at a time. Once you have the pressures filled in, you go back to the equation we figured out already, t = 60/p to find the time (in minutes)
you are brilliant! thank you so much phi...once again!!!! :D
If you want, you can post your results so we can check them.
okay, will do :D!
p=33/33+1=2 t=60/2=30 hopefully I got this right? if I got that right then I'm sure the rest are :D
looks good. btw, you will get fractions (or decimals) for depth=20,
:D thank youu
