OpenStudy (mojutmnt):

Solve the system y = x + 2 and y = –x – 3 by using graph paper or graphing technology.

OpenStudy (luigi0210):

(-2.5, -0.5)

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

@Luigi0210 you aren't supposed just post answers, it's against the OS code of conduct.

OpenStudy (luigi0210):

Graph, then find the point where they intersect

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

To solve the system by graphing, you graph both lines. The point where they intersect is the solution.

OpenStudy (mojutmnt):

OwO thank you. Sorry that you did that I guess. ._.

OpenStudy (mojutmnt):

It's the thought that counts I guess.

OpenStudy (poopsiedoodle):

Hi there, MOJUT. Welcome to OpenStudy. This is a simple problem, and shouldn't be too hard to solve. For y = x + 2, the slope is positive 1, and the y intercept is 2. So, the line would cross the y axis at (0, 2), and the line would rise every point to the right and up, like so.|dw:1359770876543:dw|
