Which equation represents exponential growth? A. y = 4(.07)^x B. y = 7(1/4)^x C. y = 2(.44)^x D. y = 6^x

OpenStudy (aravindg):

exactly similiar to last question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wellll sorry i dont get it

OpenStudy (aravindg):

@him1618 told you what an exponential function is .

OpenStudy (aravindg):

If you didnt bother to go through that please take a look now..then tell us if you still have a problem we can help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

pick the one where the base (the number being raised to a power) is greater than 1 there is only one of them

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait what? @satellite73

OpenStudy (anonymous):

are you saying it's D or i'm still not getting it? lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[y=a\times b^x\] is the general form for example in the first one you have \[y=4\times (.07)^x\] so \(a=4\) and \(b=.07\) \(b\) is the base, so in this example \(.07\) is the base since \(.07<1\) this is not growth

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes, it is D since you have \[y=6^x\] and \(6>1\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

haha ah okay!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

easy when you know what to do right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Haha somewhat!

OpenStudy (aravindg):

@satellite73 easy when she got what option is right
