Directrix (directrix):

Did you select C?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

C is the wrong answer.

Directrix (directrix):

I know it but somebody marked it on the http://gyazo.com/8c15ea07dd3dfe0c9f1486cf7f2a8d3e

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I did that, and got it wrong. The answer is not C.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

he probally did *Ctrl C* that automatically selects c

Directrix (directrix):

Okay. We have an interloper distracting us @GiGlgo3 so do you want the interloper to help you or me?

@Jakemalhas What is the slope for the points at option D?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Not sure, that is what the question asks. >>Questions - Which of the following choices gives you a slope of 3?

Directrix (directrix):

The reason C is wrong is that slope is the change in y over the change in x. So, on the points on C, slope = (-4-5) / (3-0) = -9/3 = -3. We want +3 so that is wrong.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think it's D, but I'm not sure.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I only have one more try, so I need to get it right.

Directrix (directrix):

Your task is to use the slope formula to find the slope of the line determined by the points on option D: (3,5) and (0,-4).

Directrix (directrix):

[5 - (-4)] / [(3-0)] = ? Crank it out.

Directrix (directrix):

>I only have one more try, so I need to get it right. I understand. We will get it if you will help. Crank out the slope problem above.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

9/3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Nevermind, I got it. The answer was D.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks for the help.

Directrix (directrix):

D is correct. Glad to help.
