OpenStudy (luigi0210):

I don't have an example, but in general what formula would you use? Or the set up.

OpenStudy (aravindg):

you mean in physics?

OpenStudy (luigi0210):

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

right for finding approximate zeros of functions \[\large x_{n+1} = x_{n} - \frac{f(x_{n})}{f'(x_{n})}\] its recursive, so you must start with initial guess then keep going until change in x's approaches 0 which implies f(x) is approaching 0
