In the following reaction, which substance is the precipitate? (NH4)2SO4(aq) + Ba(NO3)2(aq) BaSO4(s) + 2NH4NO3(aq)
@KonradZuse
no idea, this looks like chem to me?
online class :(
@amistre64
precipice is a term ive heard in passing; helps if i goodle a correct spelling tho :)
formation of a solid
http://chemistry.about.com/od/workedchemistryproblems/a/How-To-Predict-Precipitates.htm this would be the best i could do to point you towards a reasonable solution.
precipitate is the word in the question, im not sure what is a solid though
solid is neither liquid, neither gass, nor plasma.
the chemical equation produces outputs that are either solid and not disolvable in water (precipitates), or something else. Im not sure what the chemical equation ends up as tho.
nitrogen, hydrogen, sulfur, oxygen, is Ba barium by chance?
i know the definition of solid. im not sure which one(s) of those letters and numbers MEANS its a solid.
(NH4)2SO4(aq) + Ba(NO3)2(aq) = BaSO4(solid) + 2NH4NO3(aq) ?
aqua = liquid, s = solid?
BaSO4 is the solid precipitate, its the only one that has a (s) after the chemical equation.
BaSo4 is a solid? THANKS!
sometimes things to turn out to be way simplier then they should be :D
ya i has no idea thats what those letters meant
