Assume we have two lines which are perpendicular. If one line has a slope of 3, what is the slope of the other line? Enter your answer as an integer or fraction in lowest terms

@pleasehelpmeonmath, okay, so we're on perpendicular lines. Think of this as a fraction, So the slope of 3 = 3/1 right? So for a perpendicular slope, you flip the places of the numerator and denominator, then multiply by -1. Try it!

Okay! So 1/3 x -1 ? :) @Zelda

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yup, so -1/3.
