Calculus: Find the volume of the solid generated by revolving the region bounder by the graphs of the equations y=2,y=4-((x^2)/4) about the x axis

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know the volume formula but what 2 eqations do i put in for r? and which one goes first? and WHY

OpenStudy (stamp):

Hopefully you find some personal help, otherwise http://tutorial.math.lamar.edu/Classes/CalcI/VolumeWithRings.aspx is a good resource.

I can only recommend you to sketch/draw/graph it, I understand your doubts though, but to my understanding it's same as with the region between two curves, there you evaluate the points of intersection and then subtract the respective integral from one another. \[f(x)-g(x) \] If in the given interval \(f(x)>g(x)\)
