(4u^3+4u^2+2) + (6u^3-2u+8)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just add the terms containing the same exponent 4u^3 and 6u^3 there are no other u^2 terms so you just keep that as is. same with the -2u add 2 and 8. see what happens. post what you get. if you have questions just ask.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

10^2 + 4u^2 -2u + 10

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the first term should be 10u^3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats how i have it down just put it up here wrong

OpenStudy (anonymous):

good.

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

You may want to try to factor it now... but you didn't post the original question, so I don't know.

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

\[10u ^{3} + 4u^2 -2u + 10 = 2(5u ^{3}+2u ^{2} - u +5)\] Doesn't look like it'll factor much more than that.
