@whpalmer4 help plz

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

Okay, let's look at them one by one: A) m1 + m2 = m4 Think back to the previous problem. m3 = 180-m4, right? So the sum of the angles = m1+m2 + m3 = 180 m1 + m2 + (180-m4) = 180 m1 + m2 + (180 - m4) - (180-m4) = 180 - (180-m4) m1 + m2 = m4

so A is the only answer or is there more

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

B) given what we found about m3 and m4 in A), is it possible for m4 to equal m3? That's the only way m1 + m2 = m3 and m1+ m2 = m4. They aren't equal in the drawing, but could you draw a triangle where they were? It could be true, but it doesn't have to be.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

r u sure cuz A says m <1+m<2=m<4

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

Well, look at the diagram from the previous problem. Was it true there, or did m3 = 92 and m4 = 88?

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

Anyhow, this is how you have to reason about these questions, I'm not going to do it for you...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the answer was a,c,d

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got it right

Good job!
