If a tRNA molecule has an anticodon which reads AUG, what will it match up with and what amino acid is it carrying?

It's not C.
But you're close.

If the tRNA molecule has (A U G),
the its mRNA partner will have (U A C).

In the relationship between mRNA and tRNA,
A goes with U
G goes with C.

So once again,
(A U G) goes with (U A C).

You got THAT part right.
That's what I meant, when I said "you're close."

Take a look at this amino acid chart.
It's the same as yours. This one's a bit more organized:

We have to look up the codon (U A C).

And you see,
(U A C) come together at (Tyr), which stands for Tyrosine.

It's carrying Tyrosine.
Not Methionine.

(If you look closely, the only codon for Methionine is (A U G).)
