If a tRNA molecule has an anticodon which reads AUG, what will it match up with and what amino acid is it carrying? http://gyazo.com/cf264e3706eea229e0f4ac10c797cf09 the chart It is carrying arginine and will match with a CGU codon on the mRNA. It is carrying methionine and will match with a TAC codon on the DNA. It is carrying methionine and will match with a UAC codon on the mRNA. It is carrying tyrosine and will match with a UAC codon on the mRNA I think it is c

It's not C. But you're close. If the tRNA molecule has (A U G), the its mRNA partner will have (U A C). In the relationship between mRNA and tRNA, A goes with U G goes with C. So once again, (A U G) goes with (U A C). You got THAT part right. That's what I meant, when I said "you're close." Take a look at this amino acid chart. It's the same as yours. This one's a bit more organized: http://www.tritechresearch.com/shop//images/aachart.gif We have to look up the codon (U A C). And you see, (U A C) come together at (Tyr), which stands for Tyrosine. It's carrying Tyrosine. Not Methionine. (If you look closely, the only codon for Methionine is (A U G).)
