write the polynomial in standard form x=0,0,2

Directrix (directrix):

@ayeesiaa Are these --> x=0,0,2 roots of the polynomial?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i guess

Directrix (directrix):

Well, if x=0,0,2 are roots, then the factors of the polynomial are the following: (x - 0) and (x-0) and (x-2) Get the product of (x - 0)* (x-0)* (x-2) and post here. Thanks. @ayeesiaa

thanks

Directrix (directrix):

@ayeesiaa We're not finished. Factored form is not the same as standard form. Keep working.

7 multiplicity 3

Directrix (directrix):

> 7 multiplicity 3 --> means that 7 is a triple root. That is not the answer to the posted question "write the polynomial in standard form." We seriously need to get this product --? (x - 0)* (x-0)* (x-2) @ayeesiaa

Directrix (directrix):

See the attached image for format of standard form of polynomial. Image Source: http://www.math.usu.edu/~rheal/online1050/Precalculus/Section_3.1.pdf
