In The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain, identify the speaker and context of the following quote: "The Widow Douglas, she took me for her son, and allowed she would sivilize me; but it was rough living in the house all the time, considering how dismal regular and decent the widow was in all her ways; and so when I couldn't stand it no longer, I lit out." A. Huck telling Tom why he had to escape on the raft. B. Huck, speaking to the reader, showing his distaste for society and civilization. C. Huck telling Jim why he wants to stay on the raft.
i think it is B
I'm pretty sure you're right. It's been a couple years since I read it, but I'm 98% sure that's right :)
omg thank u so much
In The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain, who tells Huck he will go to hell if he helps Jim? A. Society B. Jim. C. Miss Watson D. Pap. i think it is A not sure
I would have to say Pap. I know it's not A, and it wouldn't be B, would it? And I'm pretty sure Miss Watson likes Jim. So, I'd say D.
In The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain, where is Huck once he leaves home at the beginning of the novel? A. In the woods with his father B. On an adventure C. At Tom Sawyer's D. At the grocery store i think A not really sure on this one either
I don't think it's A, because Huck dislikes his father. I don't think it's D, I don't remember any mention of that in the book. I would either say B or C, probably leaning toward B.
last one i dont know it at all In The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain, identify the speaker of the following quote: "Sometimes the widow would take me one side and talk about Providence in a way to make a body's mouth water; but maybe next day Miss Watson would take hold and knock it all down again. I judged I could see that there was two Providences, and a poor chap would stand considerable show with the widow's Providence, but if Miss Watson's got him there warn't no help for him any more." A. Ben Rogers B. Tom Sawyer C. Huck
I would guess Huck. I don't really know on this one. I would suggest you re-read the section and now that you know what they want to know, you could read it and find the answers.
